I often try to imitate the start of the Wasteland in my stories and songs. I like Dead lands and stony rubish. Any good story must have a quest as Sir Percival chasing after the Grail. What is an adventure, is it Blavastski, Anastasia or Tam OShanter chasing over the Moors at night running into Withered Hags mixing their cauldrens, or is it Kublah Khan in Xanadu. The problem is that i have trouble paying attention and usually skim paragraphs and fall asleep. Though I appreciate Elliot use of allegory and symbolism to express an idea I usually like to find a picture that hits the nail right on the head.
We have 2 heros Arthur and Mnorkis Peris both raised
in Lowertown. Two years ago their cousin Harris disappeared. It
seemed that he just suddenly abandoned his asperations of becoming a
periodontist and started wearing 60's apparell and tried to become a
folksinger. Now as the story goes the poor boy was not that talented, which
should have meant nothing because afterall this was the ninetees, but somehow
he ended up in the folky underworld, where there was a price to pay for being a
total twit. It seems that instead of just brushing these people aside, these
were more evangelistic folkies and somehow whisked people off for smartening up
in a place called HarmonyTown.
